The Indian Institute of Technology Joint Entrance Examinations (IIT JEE) is among the touchiest exams to crack. It is a daunting task and requires sufficient hard work and preparation. Every year, lakhs of students sit for the exam but only a handful mange to clear it. Keeping this in mind, it is advisable to start preparing well in advance so you are not overburdened with revision in the later stages.
Here are a few suggestions that you could take note of, if you are an aspiring IIT JEE 2014 candidate:
Regular revision: Working a little bit every day is far more fruitful than clogging up the brain just before the examination. Revising and practicing on a daily basis keeps your mind relaxed and focused. You tend to remember things better this way. On the other hand, mugging up everything days before the exam will mentally pressurize you. Remember, this is not any other exam wherein, you revise the syllabus the night before the exam. It’s the IIT JEE 2014 where lakhs will appear but a few hundred will get selected.
Appropriate study materials: It is absolutely essential to have the required study materials. When I say study materials, I’m referring to the prescribed textbooks, notes and a guiding hand. This is one of the most important exams of your life (if you are serious about a career in IT), so don’t mess it up. Get the required material beforehand so you don’t have to run around at the end before IIT JEE 2014.
Build a strong foundation: Get your concepts clear because this will help you in the long run. Basic concepts in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics are very important as they build the foundation to other broader topics in these subjects. Mastering these key concepts will surely help you understand other topics better.
Sleep well: Adequate hours of sleep does wonders for the mind and body. Do not neglect this. Some like to study well into the night while some prefer to wake up early and revise. Whatever the case may be, make sure you sleep enough. Lack of sleep does not help and will only stress you out further.
Nothing is impossible. With dedication and hard work, anything is possible. Remember, the IIT JEE 2014; it is just another exam, but an important one, so do the right things to make it worthwhile.
